Wishlist: Summer 2015!

Thursday 21 May 2015

Hi there!
In August I’m heading to Rome and I am so excited! Now as you may remember by my first blog post, 7 ways to change your life this month, I have recently cleared out my wardrobe. So that, teamed up with the fact that I haven’t been abroad for about 5 years, I have absolutely no holiday clothes what so ever. This obviously means that a huge shopping trip is in order, but before that I thought I would create a wish list, this is so that I don’t go buying unneccessary things whilst out because I know I will!
The wish list has given me idea of things to buy and how I can wear them and I am now so excited to go out and buy it all, or something similar. I hope this wish list also gives you some ideas for a shopping trip!

I have made three outfits, one day and two evening ones.

Outfit one
The first outfit is a casual evening outfit. I first spotted the leggings and fell in love!  Have been after a pair like these for ages, only thing is I don’t think I will be able to pull it off... in order to try and give myself confidence to wear the leggings I paired it with a plain black strappy top so that the outfit didn’t look too over the top. I then accessorised with some chunky black sandals and a mint green necklace which is gorgeous. It is covered in flowers and gives a pop of colour to the outfit.
Top - Newlook
Leggings - Riverisland
Shoes - Newlook
Necklace - Newlook

Outfit two
This is a day time outfit. First the skirt is to die for! Not only has it got a gorgeous floral patter but it also has this waved hem which is stunning. It made the skirt instantly stand out as it’s so different from all the others which I liked. I then team it with a plain vest top so it does not draw away any attention from the skirt, a pair of back and gold sandals which are beautiful and some tortoise shell sunnies!
Top - Topshop
Skirt - Topshop
Shoes - Riverisland
Sunglasses – Riverisland

Outfit three
The final outfit is his plunge maxi dress. Although I was looking for some colour, I was instantly drawn to this dress. I feel like it would look so elegant when on and does not need any accessories! I would team it um with the chunky sandals and the outfit is done1 so simple but so gorgeous.
Dress - Topshop
Shoes - Newlook

I hope you liked this blog post... I know I had fun searching for these outfits and will have even more fun shopping for them. I just hope the look as good on as they do in my head! I would love to hear what is on your wish list for this summer!

Motivational Quote #1

Monday 18 May 2015

I was searching the web one night when I stumbled upon this quote which got me thinking.
Now, I knew when I started this blog that it would be difficult, but I didn’t really understand just how hard it would be! It’s not the writing that I find hard, in fact tats the most enjoyable part! it’s the fact that you put so much effort into something that you want to inspire people that when you don’t, it can get you down.
So when I found this quote it really motivated me to carry on not matter what because, like the quote stays, “it does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop”
Not only did this motivate me to carry on blogging... but also encouraged me to set some goals for myself so I can see my accomplishments. For each goal I reach I will do a giveaway In order to give something back to my readers. My first goal is to reach 100 subscribers. Now I know this doesn’t sound like a lot, but to me this is massive! With each page view that I get, I am so unbelievably happy because I’m so shocked that people are reading what I’m writing and that is so exciting.
Each month I’m going to post about a quote to not only inspire me but hopefully inspire some of you too!
Thanks for reading.

Cookies!

Monday 11 May 2015

Hello everyone!
I made some cookies this week and thought that I would share the recipe! They are soft and chewy and so delicious! I added all my favourite chocolate instead of chocolate chips and they were so yummy! So here’s the recipe., it makes roughly 10 cookies...

 1. Pre-heat the oven to 200 Degrees Celsius
2. Cream the butter and sugar together until smooth. The finished look should be light and fluffy.
3. Slowly mix in the egg
4. Sift in the flour then carefully fold it into the mixture until it is fully incorporated
5. Add in all your favourite chocolate... Trying not to eat them in the process
6. Line a baking tray with baking paper
7. Place equal amounts of the dough on the tray leaving enough space for them to spread.
8. Place in the oven for 10 minutes
9. Remove from the oven and leave to cool. They will be really gooey o make sure you leave them to cool otherwise they will fall apart
10. Eat!

There you go... My first recipe blog post! I had so much fun baking these and would love to see if you recreate them! Leave me comments if you did!
Happy Baking!

7 Ways to change your life this month

Monday 4 May 2015

I am very nervous about this... It’s my first blog post!
I was going through my thoughts and just couldn’t settle on an idea for my first blog post as I wanted it to be amazing as it would set the tone for future posts. I didn’t know whether I should do a review, share a recipe or just have a lifestyle chat? Then I was inspired by something I saw on fifimcgee’s blogs, 7 ways to make life lovely this month. It’s a simple idea, yet can help to make a change in your life for the better. So let’s make a start!

1. Organisation
All my life I’ve never been one for organisation, which is weird because when baking you kind of have to be organised right?! The main problem is the organisation of my room, for example... I always blame the fact that my room is so messy down to the fact that I don’t have a certain place for everything, and so it just ends up of the floor... I think that’s a pretty good excuse right?! So the first change I decided to make was organisation... with a little change like this it will be so much easier to keep a tidy space. Fingers crossed

2. Healthier eating
This kind of works against me so much as I love to bake (and eat it). But most of the time it’s so unhealthy! Now, I’m not going to start eating salads all the time and going to the gym everyday but little steps hey?

3. New wardrobe
Spring is here and the sun is out which means a new wardrobe is in order. I recently has a massive clear out and got rid of things that I didn’t need anymore, and it felt so good! But obviously that means I need some new clothes.

4. University
With the end of my third year approaching, (it's gone so fast!) there is so much work that needs  to be handed in, but keeping on track of that work is so important and relives so much stress that when you hand it in on time it makes you so happy.

5. Date night
With me being at university and having a part time job it can be very easy to skip date night because of having no time, but it’s so important so this needs to be scheduled in! It doesn’t even have to be a typical date ‘night’... you could always do something different maybe go for a nice walk or play a board game. It’s just something small that can bring you together with your partner.

6. Family time
with having quite a big family it can be difficult to arrange to get together that works for everyone. But even if it’s just one night a week, it will be worth it!

7. Start a blog!
The biggest change that came this month is this blog! And I’m having so much fun (although its only just one post). I was so nervous about creating this blog that I out it off for a long time. Sometimes you’ve just got to take the plunge... is that right?! You’ve got to step out of your comfort zone and do it, otherwise you never will.

So that’s it... my first blog post! I hope you enjoyed it and hope that this gives you inspiration to make little changes in your life, if so I would love to hear from you in the comments.

Love Ky
